Russian President Vladimir Putin is open to future prisoner exchanges with the US. His announcement comes just one day after Thursday's exchange of WNBA player Brittney Griner for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout. On Friday, Putin told reporters the deal came about due to negotiations and compromise, and that future exchanges are "possible."        The White House expects to "work successfully" with Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema despite her leaving the Democratic Party to be an independent. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre emphasized Sinema's decision doesn't change the new Democratic majority control of the Senate. She praised the senator for being a partner on passing legislation put forward by the Biden administration.       A federal judge is refusing a request to hold former President Trump's legal team in contempt. The request stems from failure to comply with a May subpoena to turn over remaining classified documents Trump still had. A U.S. District judge had urged the DOJ and Trump's lawyers to find a resolution themselves, with the DOJ asking the judge to find the legal team in contempt.        The daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says her dad is "getting better every day" after a brutal attack left him injured. Alexandra Pelosi made that comment to CBS News. She said Paul Pelosi's physical scars are healing, but she doesn't know if the emotional scars will heal.       Jury members still haven't reached a verdict in Harvey Weinstein's sexual assault trial after nearly 20 hours of deliberations. The 70-year-old former movie producer is accused of sexually assaulting four women in the Los Angeles area. Today marks one week since jurors were handed the case.       A new exhibit at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History opens today. Officials say it's the first dedicated to the history of film, television, theater and music. It features nearly 225 pop culture artifacts, including Prince's yellow "Cloud" guitar, Muhammad Ali's boxing robe, one of Mr. Rogers' sweaters, the famous Ruby Slippers, even Kermit the Frog and Elmo.
