President Biden is backing Speaker Mike Johnson's plan to provide military aid to Israel, Ukraine, and the Indo Pacific. Biden shortly after Johnson released his plan called on the House to pass the package this week. He said he plans to hold a vote by Saturday.        Former President Trump returns to court in New York in the morning as jury selection in his criminal trial continues. As of now, seven jurors have been chosen. The former President is accused of falsifying business records in order to cover up payments allegedly made to an adult film star just prior to the 2016 election.        The Democratic-controlled Senate is quickly dismissing the impeachment charges against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. The Senate voted Wednesday to rule both impeachment articles unconstitutional because they did not rise to the level of "high crimes and misdemeanors." Senate Republicans raised several motions to try and kick off a lengthy trial but they all failed along party lines.        Arizona's near-total abortion ban is still law. The Civil War-era law outlaws the procedure except to save the life of the woman and threatens providers with prison sentences between two and five years. The state's House did not repeal law on Wednesday following Democratic lawmakers attempt to do so.       A new Louisiana law legalizing lethal gas as an execution method is being opposed by Jewish activists. They say it reminds Jews of the atrocities committed during the Holocaust. An execution by gas has only been performed so far by the state of Alabama. Numerous lawsuits were filed after that, claiming the method was not humane.       Performers at California's Disneyland park are filing a petition to unionize. On Wednesday, Disney performers announced they're ready to hold a vote on union representation.
