The Woonsocket Public Library is hosting a new program, entitled "Draw with Me," throughout Thursdays in August at 4 p.m.

The program, which will be hosted by Ms. Chris, will create a new picture each week using a variety of techniques, including stencils, colored pencils, paint, markers, and crayons. Members can follow along on the library's Facebook Live feed or through Zoom.

Patrons can send in their own drawings via email to be featured in a "Draw with Me" episode.

The Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee says Republicans have the votes to confirm President Trump's Supreme Court nominee before Election Day. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham said on Fox News last night his committee is going to move the nomination to the Senate floor "so we can vote before the election." Trump said Monday he'll announce his nominee to succeed the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg Friday or Saturday.        Tropical Storm Beta is bringing rain to Texas. The National Hurricane Center says the storm crossed over the Texas coast near Port O'Connor on the southern end of the Matagorda Peninsula some 90 miles southwest of Houston. As much as ten inches of rain could fall in some areas.        Six Louisville police officers are under investigation for their roles in the shooting that killed Breonna Taylor. The internal probe could lead to punishment for the officers, including losing their jobs. It is separate from the Public Integrity Unit's investigation, which has already sent its findings to Kentucky's attorney general.        The woman accused of sending a letter with ricin to President Trump is expected to make her first federal court appearance today. The New York Times says the woman is a Canadian national who was stopped at the Peace Bridge Sunday while trying to enter the United States. Federal investigators say the letter was addressed to the White House but was intercepted before it ever arrived.       Republican Senator Thom Tillis announced Monday that the state of North Carolina has been added to a list of other southeastern states where offshore oil drilling will be banned for the next ten years. In a video, Tillis said he had spoken with President Donald Trump on Monday to request that North Carolina be included along with South Carolina, Georgia and Florida in his offshore drilling moratorium.        The Primetime Emmy Awards have hit an all-time low in TV viewership for the second year in a row. The 72nd annual awards drew six-point-one million viewers and a one-point-two rating among adults 18 to 49. Last year, the show had just under seven-million viewers.
