Joseph Felix (age 41)

East Providence, RI

On September 30, 2020, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Joseph Felix with one count of first-degree sexual assault. 

 

The alleged act occurred in the city of Cranston sometime between April 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015. The Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on October 21, 2020 in Providence County Superior Court.

 

 

Brian Silva (age 32)

Warwick, RI

On September 30, 2020, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Brian Silva with one count of first-degree child molestation, one count of second-degree child molestation, and one count of simple assault and battery. 

 

The alleged acts occurred in the city of Pawtucket sometime between June 30, 2016 and June 30, 2018. The Pawtucket Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on October 21, 2020 in Providence County Superior Court.

 

 

Paul Raposo (age 26)

Woonsocket, RI

On September 30, 2020, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Paul Raposo with one count of murder; one count of discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence, resulting in death; one count of carrying a pistol without a license; one count of failing to report a death; and one count of firing in a compact area.

 

The alleged acts occurred in the city of Woonsocket sometime on June 26, 2020. The Woonsocket Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on October 14, 2020 in Providence County Superior Court. He is currently being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI).

With less than two weeks to go before the 2020 election, the Director of National Intelligence is warning the public that Iran and Russia are trying to influence the outcome. John Ratcliffe says Iran sent spoofed emails designed to intimidate voters. He said both countries have obtained voter registration information.        Former President Barack Obama is slamming President Trump on his response to the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking at a rally in Philadelphia Wednesday, Obama said Trump moaned that the crises made him "go back to work." He added if the President had been doing his job, the country would not be suffering as much.        The weekly report on first-time unemployment claims leads off the morning's economic reports and analysts expect to see the unemployment lines getting longer. They expect to see initial jobless claims increasing to 915-thousand last week.       Massive fires are burning through parts of Colorado as firefighters prepare to deal with high winds making things worse Thursday. The Cameron Peak Fire west of Fort Collins is the largest wildfire in state history. It's been burning since August and is now more than 200-thousand acres.        Pope Francis is making history by supporting civil unions for same-sex couples. He wants laws to protect them, saying they have a right to be part of a family because "They're children of God." He's the first Pope to make such a statement, breaking with Catholic tradition.
