Christmas Tree Pickup

 

The City of Woonsocket, Public Services Division will be picking up discarded Christmas Trees from Monday , January 4, 2021 through Friday, January 15, 2021

 

Trees will be picked up on your regular trash pick-up day (pending any inclement weather). Residents are asked that the trees are not wrapped in any type of plastic nor have any lights or ornaments left on them.

 

Place discarded trees in front of your property in the sidewalk area. Kindly leave enough room in the sidewalk area for pedestrians.

 

Christmas Trees and Artificial Christmas Trees with a metal core can be brought to the City Recycle Facility located at 943 River Street (Monday – Friday 7AM – 3:15PM and Saturdays 8AM – 11:45AM).

House Democrats have been eager to argue in a Senate trial that Trump is guilty of inciting an insurrection on January 6th.        A non-partisan group wants Apple to remove messaging app Telegram from its App Store, arguing that it's used by extremists to spread ideas. The Coalition for a Safer Web has filed suit against Apple, accusing Telegram of hosting "white supremacists, neo-Nazis and other hateful content."        Former NBA player Stephen Jackson revealed on "The Rematch" podcast that Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving bought a home for George Floyd's family in Houston. Floyd was killed in May in Minneapolis while in police custody.        The jackpot for tonight's Mega Millions drawing is an estimated 850-million dollars.
