Grab a Burger - Burger Week

Who doesn’t like a juicy burger with fries every once in a while?! Here are some ideas if you’ve got that hankering…

In an effort to support local restaurants, the Burrillville Business Network is hosting Burger Week now through Saturday, January 16.

Participating restaurants are located in and around Burrillville such as Cow’s Tail Deli and CreameryJohnny’s Victory Diner and Serio’s Pizzarama; but also includes Hill’s Tavern in Chepachet and Quik Stop Deli in Slatersville.

They are offering a variety of burger choices that all sound delicious like the “Smokehouse Burger” at Hill’s Tavern that includes Swiss cheese, onion rings and drizzled with barbecue sauce or the “Miss Piggy” at Johnny’s Victory Diner that has pulled pork and coleslaw on the burger plus Johnny’s house-made honey sriracha glaze.

Honoring

Martin Luther King, Jr.

This year more than ever, we recognize the important contributions of Martin Luther King, Jr. in regard to the civil rights movement.

In 1994, Congress passed the King Holiday and Service Act, designating the Martin Luther King Jr. Federal Holiday as a national day of service.

MLK Day of Service is the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service – a "day on, not a day off.

If you find yourself in need of an opportunity to volunteer, may we suggest you help the environment and sign up with Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful. Read more.
