On August 27, 2021, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Arthur Godette with one count of first-degree robbery, two counts of conspiracy, one count of kidnapping, one count of second-degree carjacking, and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon.

 

The alleged acts occurred in the city of Providence sometime on March 12, 2021. The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on September 15, 2021, in Providence County Superior Court.

On August 27, 2021, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Kevin Mendes with one count of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to murder, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to murder, and one count of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious bodily injury.

 

The alleged acts occurred in the town of Warren sometime on May 24, 2021. The Warren Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on September 15, 2021, in Providence County Superior Court.

On August 27, 2021, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Jorge Lopez with one count of first-degree child molestation.

 

The alleged acts occurred in the city of East Providence sometime between September 14, 2020, and April 8, 2021. The East Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on September 15, 2021, in Providence County Superior Court.

A new report is saying members of Congress and their staffs were involved in talks about events to protest last year's presidential election. The report by Rolling Stone cites two individuals involved in the process. They say Republicans including Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia along with Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs of Arizona participated in talks about the events or had their staff members join in on the conversations.       A deal is basically done for the human infrastructure package, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Speaking on CNN's State of the Union, the California Democrat said there will be agreement on the bills and the plan is to vote on the bipartisan infrastructure measure this week. The White House also reports President Biden had a "productive discussion" Sunday in Delaware with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin.       Dr. Anthony Fauci [[ FOW-chee ]] says while he thinks it's probably a good idea to stick with the same brand of vaccine when it comes to booster shots, mixing and matching is also effective. Speaking on ABC's This Week, the chief White House medical adviser said it really comes down to what's available and the overall health condition of the person getting vaccinated. Fauci said the data looks like kids five to eleven should be eligible to get vaccinated against COVID-19 next month.       Pop star Ed Sheeran is self-isolating following a positive COVID-19 test. The British singer posted on Instagram that he's "following government guidelines." The news of Sheeran's diagnosis is complicating things for Saturday Night Live, which announced the singer as a musical guest for the November 6th show alongside host Kieran Culkin.       Georgia remains at the top of the latest Coaches' Poll, while Oklahoma fell two spots after a narrow win over Kansas. The Bulldogs received all 64 first-place votes to remain number one in the rankings for the third straight week. Cincinnati moved up to second, Alabama is now third, and the Sooners slipped to fourth.
