Media Advisory: Hospital and State Leaders to Urge Rhode Islander to Seek Care in the Right Setting

 

With hospital emergency departments in Rhode Island continuing to experience significant crowding, state leaders and hospital leaders will gather tomorrow morning to urge Rhode Islanders to seek care in the most appropriate setting. Many health issues can be treated quickly and effectively by a primary care provider or in an urgent care facility.

 

The event will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 17th at the ambulance bay of Rhode Island Hospital’s Emergency Department on Blackstone Street in Providence (between Culver Street and Plain Street). There is metered parking on Blackstone Street and public lots on Willard Avenue.

Half of those surveyed are concerned about coming down with the virus.        Home prices are reaching a level not seen since near the turn of the century. The National Association of Realtors says the median home sales price last year was 346-thousand-900 dollars. That's a nearly 17-percent jump from 2020.        A second season of ''Squid Game'' is on the way. Netflix co-CEO and chief content officer Ted Sarandos confirmed the news during the company's fourth quarter earnings interview. He said the show's universe has "just begun."        NASA wants help with ideas about recycling on Mars. The space agency and the crowdsourcing platform HeroX are launching a "Waste to Base" challenge. People can submit suggestions for ways to recycle trash, waste, carbon dioxide, and foam packaging materials during a two to three year crewed mission to Mars.
