COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility and Available Local Clinics Scheduled

 

The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) has updated its vaccine administration strategy to ensure the availability of COVID-19 boosters to all eligible populations. The current revision has taken place in response to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) & Center for Disease Control’s latest guidance regarding COVID-19 booster shot administration.

 

The City of Woonsocket will be partnering with the Town of North Smithfield to offer a “Moderna” COVID-19 booster clinic at Monsignor Gadoury School 1371 Park Avenue in Woonsocket.

 

The guidance for “Moderna” boosters is as follows:

 

People who received the first two doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines can get a booster dose six months or more after their second dose if they are:

 

  • Anyone age 18 years or older

The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Clinic will be offered on the following date: (This clinic is for Moderna Only)

The Supreme Court is throwing out another attempt to block Texas' six-week abortion ban. The six-three ruling is another setback for abortion providers who are trying to revive challenges to the law about five months after it went into effect.       Former President Donald Trump is claiming he wanted to have National Guard troops at the Capitol ahead of January 6th. The House Committee investigating the attack has released texts that show some lawmakers and Fox News hosts called on Trump to tell rioters on January 6th to go home, but records show it took Trump more than two hours to release a video calling for that.       Former President Trump is standing by his phone call to Georgia's secretary of state after the 2020 election. Trump described it as a "perfect" call. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is requesting formation of a special grand jury to investigate Trump's actions. He asked Raffensperger to help him "find" nearly 12-thousand votes to overturn the results in Georgia, a state that was won by then-candidate Joe Biden.       A new trailer previewing the upcoming Super Bowl half-time show is making its debut. The video features Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar living their best lives before being summoned to California. They'll be performing at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on February 13th.        Instagram is rolling out paid subscriptions. Creators will be able charge subscribers anywhere from one to 100-dollars a month for access to exclusive content. The new feature is currently being tested with a small group of U.S. creators.
