On these tours you will hear stories of the workers, residents and early settlers of the Blackstone River Valley and what it took to make our region what it is today. As the tours wind along the waters and thick foliaged riverbanks you may get a chance to see the swan, grey blue heron, hawks, deer, turtles, or even the rare bald eagle, that live along our renewed waterways.

RiverClassroom on the Blackstone Valley Explorer riverboat

Are you an educator?

Consider taking your students on our RiverClassroom Program!

RiverClassroom’s goals are to help students identify the Blackstone River as a unique historical and natural resource, understand the impact of human action on rivers and waterways, and become stewards for the preservation of the surrounding environment. RiverClassroom programs meet most curriculum standards and can focus on Heritage Studies, River Science Investigation (RSI), and/or Eco-Discovery.
