Ready...set...murder!  The Down        town Woonsocket Collaborative is excited to announce their next fundraising event, "Murder at the Museum".  It's 1955, Woonsocket has finally begun to recover from the massive flood that destroyed businesses, homes, and cemeteries.  The City has planned a dinner to thank those who helped in the cleanup efforts and to give the citizens of Woonsocket an evening to celebrate.  However, a gruesome discovery has cast a shadow on the festivities!  While re-interring the displaced Precious Blood cemetery, there was one body that could not be identified.  Is it the drifter who had become a menace to the City?  Maybe the rumored lover of the police chief's wife?  Whispers abound up and down Main Street over the identity of the deceased and just who would have used the flood to cover up their crime.

This is your chance to help solve the murder!  Clues will be available in local Main Street businesses that will lead to the name and role of the victim.  Clues are located at the Museum of Work & Culture, Woonsocket Historical Society, Ye Olde English, NY Lunch, Timeless Antiques, Main Street Cafe, Renaissance Tattoo Studio, Trendz, The Art Den, and Ciro's Tavern.

The event will take place on Saturday May 19th, 2018.  A buffet dinner will be served by Savini's Pomodoro at 40 South Main Street (MillRace Event Space) at 6pm and then the event at 42 South Main Street (Museum of Work & Culture) which will start at 8pm.  Tickets will be $40 per person for both events or only $20 per person for entry at the Museum.  Guests will be able to speak to the suspects and witnesses at the event and asked to identify the murder suspect at the Museum with one lucky winner who will win a $150 gift card to Savini's Pomodoro.  Guests are encouraged to dress to impress in their favorite 40's and 50's attire.

DWC Chairman Garrett Mancieri says, "An event like this is always a great time.  It is not only a fun night out in downtown Woonsocket, but it also encourages visitors to our local businesses to gather up the clues to help them solve the mystery.  We hope that you will buy tickets and join us for a great time out that should be a night to remember."  DWC is a 501c3 organization and tax advantages may apply for the purchase of tickets and sponsorships.

Tickets must be purchased before the date and are available on SquareUp (https://squareup.com/store/downtownwoonsocketcollaborative).  Tickets can also be purchased in person at The Art Den at 285 Main Street.  Event sponsorships are available by contacting a DWC board member.  More information can be also be found on the Downtown Woonsocket Collaborative Facebook page, www.facebook.com/downtown02895
