President Trump says the devastation from Hurricane Michael is hard to believe, even seeing the damage first-hand. Trump visited storm-damaged areas of the Florida Panhandle and Georgia yesterday. He pledged that the federal government will do everything it can to help the recovery effort.    Defense Secretary Jim Mattis says he isn't going anywhere and that President Trump is backing him up. Mattis talked with reporters traveling with him on a visit to Vietnam today. He said Trump phoned him during the flight from Washington and said he's with him 100-percent.    Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Saudi King Salman are talking today about the disappearance of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi [[ ka-SHO-gee ]]. Saudi Arabia has denied any involvement in Khashoggi's October 2nd disappearance at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. But CNN reports the Saudis will concede today that Khashoggi was inadvertently killed during an interrogation that went bad.    Bill Gates says he's heartbroken by the death of his Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. In a statement, Gates said Allen "deserved much more time," but his contributions will live for generations to come. Allen died yesterday from complications of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma at age 65.    America's two biggest lottery jackpots are worth nearly a billion dollars. The Mega Millions jackpot is up to 654-million dollars and Powerball is at 345-million. The next Mega Millions jackpot drawing is tonight and Powerball numbers will be drawn Wednesday night.    Climate change could drive up beer prices. A new study published in the journal Nature Plants says droughts and higher temperatures caused by climate change will reduce the amount of barley being produced. That would limit the beer supply and raise the price.
