Woonsocket Little League Announces 2017 All Star teams
 

Woonsocket, RI (June 13, 2017) – Woonsocket Little League recently announced the players selected for the League’s 2017 All Star teams as well as the team coaching staffs.

 

The Major and Senior Division teams will represent the city of Woonsocket in the Rhode Island District 4 Little League Baseball Tournaments which begin in early July. Teams that win the district tournament earn a chance to compete in the Rhode Island Little League State Tournament.

 

Players selected for Woonsocket Little League’s 12U All Star team include Michael Brouillard, Matt Eagan, Garrick Godin, Alex Herrerra, Misael Laboy, Michael Laliberte, Andreas Lopez, Xavier Luke, Deke Mousseau, Connor Robillard, Wilbi Tejada, Jaden Violette and Jeremey Vitiello. The team will be led by manager Thomas Gray and assisted by coaches Bill Berube and Deke Mousseau.

 

Players selected for the 11U Majors All Star team include Emmanuel Adeyeye, Adam Beaudry, Trenton Brin, Michael Cinquantini, Jr., Angel Delgado, Isaiah Figueroa, Shayne Godin, Noah Levreault, KJ Lopez, Mariano Lopez, Eliu Perez, Connor Thibault, Gian Vaccarella and Jayden Williams. The team will be led by manager Mike Cinquantini and assisted by coaches Tony Gabriele and Steve Thibault.

 

Players selected for the Senior Division All Star team include Nomar Almonte, Alex Alpen, BJ Beksha, Josh Duprey, Deryn Glassey, Nick Iarussi, Caleb Lambert, Latrell Lopez, Ed Mulligan, Evan Nickerson, Chris Ortega, Shane Perrico, Chris Vallee, and Tyler Violette. The team will be led by Steve Sgambato and assisted by coaches Ed Mulligan and Michael St. Germain.

 

Woonsocket Little League will be hosting a District 4 Tournament double header on Saturday, July 1st at Lajoie Field, with the 11U team taking on Smithfield at 5:30pm followed by the 12U team taking on Smithfield at 7:45pm.

The District will again offer through its free mobile app a live scoreboard updated every half inning throughout the tournament. Biden made the comment today during an interview with radio host Howard Stern. Trump, who refused to participate in the Republican primary debates, has posted on social media that he'll debate Biden "anytime, anywhere, anyplace."        New data shows inflation is still on the rise. The Commerce Department says personal consumption expenditures price index excluding food and energy rose two-point-eight-percent from March 2023 to March 2024. On a monthly basis, consumer spending edged up eight-tenths of a percent.        Gas prices are up slightly heading into the weekend. Triple A reports the national average for a gallon of regular is three-dollars-and-66-cents, up a penny from yesterday. Drivers are paying 13 cents more than a week ago, with the lowest pump prices in Mississippi at three-oh-eight a gallon.        Former kickboxer and influencer Andrew Tate's trial will go ahead in Romania. Tate was indicted in June along with his brother Tristan on charges of human trafficking and rape. The self-proclaimed "misogynist" has denied the allegations. Tate has billions of TikTok views talking about male dominance, female submission and wealth.       The tennis drama Zendaya's "Challengers" is off to a good start at the box office. The film made one-point-nine-million-dollars from Thursday previews and is projected to take over the top spot from A24's "Civil War" this weekend. The religious drama "Unsung Hero" and the action film "Boy Kills World" starring Bill Skarsgard are also expected to be among the big draws in their weekend debuts.
