President Trump wants the United States to have an immigration system that's based on merit. On Twitter, Trump said that when someone comes into the country "we must immediately, with no judges or court cases, bring them back from where they came." He called the U.S. immigration system "a mockery to good immigration policy."        The House will be voting on a moderate immigration bill this week. The so-called compromise bill includes a path to citizenship for young immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children, an end to the diversity visa lottery system, limits on family-based immigration, and 25-billion dollars for President Trump's border wall. The bill was originally scheduled for a vote last Thursday before it was pushed back to Friday, then delayed again for more negotiations.        The U.S. Supreme Court is tossing a North Carolina case on how congressional maps were drawn back to a lower court for reconsideration. A lower court found that a Republican redistricting plan was overly partisan. It is one of a number of cases that the high court considered this year on partisan gerrymandering but it appears there will be no broad, definitive ruling this year.        Stocks are declining in mid-morning trading as fears of a trade war heighten as the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down over 350 points. The drop began after reports surfaced that President Trump may be planning to block several Chinese firms from investing in American technology while putting additional blocks on exports to China. Harley Davidson is also fueling the drop announcing it may be shifting production of its motorcycles destined for the EU from the United States to its facilities overseas to avoid tariffs.        USC is facing a lawsuit over a long-time campus gynecologist. There have reportedly been 200 former students who filed lawsuits against the university, saying they didn't do enough to punish Dr. George Tyndall during his nearly three decades at the school.        All Amazon Prime members will have access to discounts at Whole Foods by the middle of the week.
